Kofi Owusu Afriyie

 Kofi Owusu-Afriyie is a dynamic Producer based in Ghana, specializing in international collaboration. His production experience spans over 15 years. He's the co-founder of Luu Vision Media in Ghana. Producer of feature film The Fisherman that premiered at Venice Biennale Film Festival in August 2024, winning UNESCO's Fellini Medal. It was based on the award-winning short film The Fisherman that went on to play in festivals worldwide airing on HBO, and streaming on HBO Max. The Fisherman was nominated for the HBO Short Film Awards at ABFF, won Diversity at Cannes, Pan African Film Festival Special Jury Award, and was nominated for the African Movie Academy Award. He produced a short film The Wave for MTV/ Paramount + and was the Production service fixer for Water & Garri on Amazon Prime. Having begun his career at Icon Communications, Kofi has worked with several reputable companies both in Ghana and internationally such as Apex Advertising, Post-production, Vice Media, Egg Films, Miros Production, Pidgen Music, Bomb Productions, Big World Cinema, Launch Factory, Tia Productions, Giant Films, etc as a Fixer/ Line Producer. He was the Ghanaian Fixer/ Line Producer for the first 7 seasons of Vodafone Healthline TV series and Airtel’s Touching Lives TV series on Gtv, Utv, TV 3 and TV Africa.
